Another thing we love about spring is helping drivers prep their automobiles for the upcoming season. To get your car prepped for spring, you really need to do just two things. First, you should clean the inside and outside of your vehicle, including its undercarriage. Next, you should bring your automobile into Tom Wood Honda so we can take care of the rest!
Here are some of the things our factory-trained service technicians will do to prepare your vehicle for spring:
· Check Your Tires: We’ll check the air pressure in your tires to make sure it’s at the right level. We’ll also inspect your tires to make sure they don’t have unusual wear patterns on them, which may indicate your car has a mechanical problem that needs to be fixed. We’ll check the amount of tread that your tires have to make sure they can grip the road sufficiently as well.
· Inspect Your Brakes: Brakes suffer a lot of wear and tear during the winter and debris sometimes gets stuck between your brake pads and rotors as a result. We’ll look at your brakes and if we see debris, we’ll remove it to make sure your brakes will work properly when you need them the most. We’ll also inspect your brake pads and rotors and replace them, if necessary.
· Fix Your Alignment: Whether you drive a 2017 Honda Accord or an older model, the potholes that often appear during winter can throw your car out of alignment if you drive over one. If your automobile is out of alignment, we’ll be happy to realign your vehicle.
