It seems like just yesterday that the 2016 Honda Odyssey arrived at our Honda dealership. Ever since it got here, the Honda Odyssey has remained popular among families for a variety of reasons. Earlier this month, the Honda brand unveiled the redesigned 2018 Honda Odyssey at the North American International Auto Show in Detroit, MI. Based on what we’ve heard, the 2018 Honda Odyssey continues the minivan’s tradition of having features that benefit the entire family.
The Honda brand has always had its figurative finger on the pulse of what families want their cars to have, it seems. From introducing the world’s first in-car vacuum years back to now, the Honda brand is all about easing parents’ burdens by incorporating features that make it easier to be an adult…and a kid…in an automobile.
Some of the family-friendly features that have been incorporated into the design of the 2018 Honda Odyssey include:
· “Magic” Seats: Everyone at our Honda dealership near Fishers, IN loves the magic seats in the second row of the 2018 Honda Odyssey. When you remove the middle seat in the second row, the two outboard seats can slide into several side-to-side positions. This capability makes it possible for you to create a center or side aisle leading to the third row of seats. When the second row’s middle seat is left in position, you can slide it forward toward the front seat. This makes it easier for you to hand a snack or beverage to the child in the middle seat without straining your back.
· CabinWatch: This system uses an infrared camera mounted to the ceiling above the second row to let people in the front seats see what’s going on in the second and third rows, anytime of day or night. What the camera picks up is displayed on the minivan’s front-row multimedia screen.
· WiFi: If you have older kids, you’ll appreciate that you can get optional, in-vehicle 4G LTE WiFi service. This available feature can help keep the peace between your children during road trips, especially long ones.
