As long-standing Honda dealers in Indianapolis, IN, we couldn’t be happier to tell you that the brand we proudly represent started producing the 2017 Honda CR-V right here in our home state. The all-new Honda CR-V is the first Honda SUV that will be built at the automaker’s Greensburg, IN manufacturing facility since it opened in 2008.

In March of last year, Honda Manufacturing of Indiana, LLC announced it would invest $52 million and create 100 new jobs to prepare for the production of the Honda CR-V. The production of the all-new Honda CR-V in Indiana was moved from the Honda de Mexico plant which is located in Guadalajara.

"We are leveraging the manufacturing flexibility of our experienced Indiana associates to meet the needs of our customers," said Bob Nelson, president of Honda Manufacturing of Indiana. "With the [Honda] CR-V and [Honda] Civic, we are really proud to build two of America's best-selling vehicles in Indiana."

Honda Manufacturing of Indiana, LLC is one of the Honda brand’s five US-based production plants. Representing a capital investment that exceeds $900 million, the Indiana plant employs more than 2,400 people. The plant began producing Honda Civic sedans on October 9, 2008.
