Honda has joined the compact crossover battle (CUV) with the introduction of the HR-V at the L.A. Autoshow during November. Its fuel economy ratings have been released, first spotted by Autoblog, and it puts the HR-V near the top of its burgeoning CUV class.
Though the HR-V isn't as efficient as the Honda Fit, the frame it's based off of, it's still frugal none the less. Especially considering its size. It's 10 inches shorter than its big brother the CR-V but it offers the same amount of space. The only other vehicles that share a similar size profile are the Jeep Renegade and the Fiat 500L.
The HR-V is set to hit showrooms during spring of 2015 and will likely cause a stir in the CUV market.
